Meet Kirk — The Man Behind Slant Evolution
“I always had a tendency to choose something from a clothier that might be more likely to be overlooked.” —Kirk Shindle
Kirk Shindle, born in Hagerstown, MD, worked as a visual merchandiser for more than 25 years designing windows, interiors, and showrooms for fashion houses including Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Elie Tahari, Escada, and a slew of others.
Kirk has always been inspired by a great T-Shirt since he was in his early 20s . . . he was the guy that had numerous people stop and ask him where he’s gotten such cool T’s.
“I always had a tendency to choose something from a clothier that might be more likely to be overlooked,” Kirk states.
As he worked for the luxury fashion houses he was inspired by the craftsmanship of the clothing . . . the detailing . . . the texture . . . the extraordinary.
“I thought why couldn’t I bring that into creating a luxury T-shirt and pullover line . . . and so Slant Evolution was born.”
